It was a delight to walk into

Its hard to know where to start with reviewing this wonderful, home from home, cottage! The communication from Amanda was clear and concise, friendly and helpful. She supplied paperwork to explain everything you might want to know about the bungalow and what is available plus magazines and nice introductory booklets. The accommodation is immaculately clean and fresh, which was a delight to walk into! Everything you could need and more is available, from high quality crockery and cutlery, to pots pans, dishwasher and washing machine and from the excellent quality of the beds and their linen (1 super-king size and 2 doubles, plus a single) to the touches like a selection of blankets in the lounge if you should need them. There are games and books at the property, which you can use and a log burner. The garden is well kept and laid out with a lovely space for outside dining. There is a nice conservatory in which to eat or just enjoy sitting in. Amanda was a brilliant host and assured me that I could ask any questions that needed answering. She left gifts of kites for my two children for when we arrived, which was such a thoughtful touch, along with cake, milk and butter, eggs and bread etc. The location is very close to the sea, on a quiet and very pleasant street. The bungalow has its own parking space on the front, gated drive There is a leisure centre at the end of the road there are a couple of fish and chip shops very close by, if needed. Amanda let us know that there was a bike festival going on the weekend we stayed in Hornsea. We went along and it was a really good day out. There are local walks to do, a friendly pub and the Floral Hall for an inexpensive lunch. It’s a really nice, unspoilt area for children to enjoy a simple, beachy holiday. My children are already asking to return there next year and I wouldn’t even think of trying any other accommodation after experiencing the luxury of ‘Roslyn’ on Constable Road.
